One phone call reaches a technician who works on Kelvinator systems every week. Tell us the model and what the unit is doing, and we will bring the right parts to the first visit.

Tell us what the unit is doing

Fill this in and we will come back to you. The more you can say about the model and the symptom, the better prepared the technician is before anyone travels.

We specialise in this equipment as an independent business, and we say what we find.

We answer the phone Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. A fault that appears outside those hours becomes the first call of the next working day, and if it is urgent the phone reaches us faster than the form does.

We use what you send only to answer this enquiry. The form is delivered by an outside mail service, so please keep anything confidential for the phone call.

What to Have Ready

Five minutes of preparation shortens the call and improves the odds that the right part travels in the van. None of it requires tools, and none of it requires opening the unit.

  • The model number from the rating label on the indoor or the outdoor unit.
  • Any code showing on the display, or the pattern a light is flashing in.
  • What the unit is actually doing, rather than what you think is wrong.
  • When it started, and whether anything changed around the same time.
  • Whether the filters have been cleaned recently.
  • The address, the floor, and where the outdoor unit sits.

Do not open the sealed refrigerant circuit and do not remove the outdoor cover. Australian law restricts refrigerant handling to licensed people, and the outdoor unit holds stored charge even with the power off.

What Happens After You Get in Touch

  1. We work out what the fault actually is

A symptom rarely names its own cause. Air that feels cool but never cold can be airflow or refrigerant, and the two look identical at the vent. So the first job is measurement rather than guesswork.

  2. We tell you what it will take

You get the diagnosis, the options and what each one involves before any work starts. A clear scope prevents the awkward conversation that follows a surprise on the invoice.

  3. You decide

Some faults are worth fixing and some are not, particularly on an older system where parts are scarce. We will say so plainly rather than quoting a repair we would not choose ourselves.

Where We Work

We cover the capital cities and the larger regional centres, and the location pages set out what the climate in each place does to a system. Travel affects scheduling more than it affects the work itself.

Questions Owners Ask Before They Call

When are you open?

Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. We do not attend on a Sunday or late in the evening, so a fault that appears outside those hours becomes the first call of the next working day. Ring as early as you can on a hot day, because the diary fills quickly.

What should I say when I call?

Describe what the unit is doing in plain words, then give the model number and any code on the display. That is enough for a technician to narrow the fault before anyone travels.

Can you tell me the cost on the phone?

Not honestly, because the same symptom can come from a cheap part or an expensive one. Our pricing guide explains what shapes the figure, and the diagnosis comes before any number.

My unit is still under warranty. Who do I call?

The manufacturer administers the Kelvinator warranty, not us. If the unit is inside that period, check the terms that came with it before arranging anything. We can still tell you whether a fault looks like a warranty matter.

Do you work on brands other than Kelvinator?

Yes. We specialise in Kelvinator systems, and the same technicians work on other split systems, ducted plant and window units.

What if the fault is something I can fix myself?

We will say so. Plenty of call outs turn out to be a blocked filter, a mode setting or a tripped breaker, and none of those needs a technician.
